IN DEVELOPMENT — COMING SOON
Montpellier ECU’s future AI model
An intelligence born in Montpellier.
We’re actively working on it!
Creator: Montpellier ECU · Montpellier, France
Montpellier ECU is developing COMÉDIE, its future general-purpose and creative AI model.
A trilingual AI project: French, English and Occitan, with priority given to Languedocien Occitan.
Our ambition is to design an assistant that can understand your questions, support your projects and inspire your creativity.
An independent technology project, born in Montpellier and developed progressively according to our Argent 0 philosophy.

Demo in preparation. Please check back soon.
This preview does not save messages or produce responses. No model or external API is connected.
FR / EN / OC: planned language choices for the future demo. This selector is disabled in the mockup.
These messages are static editorial drafts, not model responses. The Occitan copy must be reviewed by a competent Languedocien speaker before linguistic approval.
Bonjour ! Je suis COMÉDIE. Comment puis-je vous aider ?
Hello! I’m COMÉDIE. How can I help you?
Bonjorn, soi COMÉDIE. Vos pòdi ajudar ?
An Occitan corpus is to be prepared, using authorised original contributions and resources whose licences allow the intended uses. Each source must document its provenance, language variety, licence, required consents and reuse conditions. No corpus is claimed as acquired or integrated.
Planned tests will cover instructions, French–Occitan and English–Occitan translation, multi-turn conversation, diacritics and Languedocien variants. Reference answers will be reviewed by competent speakers in a test set kept separate from training data. No model results are available.
Understanding and speaking Occitan aloud will require suitable speech recognition and synthesis, with licence checks and separate evaluations. No microphone, voice player or speech service is active.
Planned roadmap. These steps are not presented as completed and no schedule is being announced.
We have selected the IBM Granite family as a foundation for COMÉDIE. The exact variant, adaptation and performance remain to be evaluated. Our goal is a general-purpose and creative assistant in French, English and Languedocien Occitan. The project is in development; no public demonstration is available. Components developed by Montpellier ECU and any third-party models will be identified separately after selection and verification. We do not present COMÉDIE as a model trained entirely from scratch.
De l’écran à l’abandon is Montpellier ECU’s narrative starting point. COMÉDIE represents its technology ambition, while the studio’s creations and services retain their own areas of work. No date has been announced for the book’s publication by Éditions Maïa.
